Project overview
"Red Peak" supports an ultra-modern residence on Red Mountain, framed by views toward Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands. Broad flat rooflines, a glass-fronted central stair, and architectural solar integrated into the roof overhangs required the energy system to remain visually subordinate to the building.
The completed system combines 40.96 kWh of battery storage with 25 kW of architectural solar. Twelve selected loads are coordinated through a 400A backup system connected to the property's 1600A electrical service. The design focuses stored energy on defined operating priorities rather than attempting to support the entire service simultaneously.
